          Chronic Pain Australia surveyed people on how they managed
           their pain. The figure shows the percentage of respondents who

            strategy at 78.6%, followed by lifestyle strategies (61.4%) and the

          physiotherapy for pain management, with almost a third using nutritional
         supplements and/or diet (31.4%). Twenty-four percent of respondents indicated
                           they used a combination of all the methods listed. iii

         The Australian Pain Management Association suggests medicine is one
         part of the picture and works best when combined with physical therapy

         and cognitive therapy.
